In the wake of Bangladesh's independence, it was often described by foreign observers as a "bottomless basket." However, over the years, the nation made strides, progressing to a lower-middle-income status in 2017. This upward trajectory was made possible, in large part, through international migration and the substantial remittances sent by Bangladeshi labor migrants. The impact of foreign employment and the resulting flow of remittances played a crucial role in the country's success in reducing poverty. According to the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET), a total of 734,181 Bangladeshi individuals ventured to various international destinations in 2018, including the Gulf, other Arab, and Southeast Asian countries. In 2017, this number reached its peak. The government recognizes the significance of migration in providing job opportunities for Bangladeshis. In the pursuit of recruiting prospective overseas clients, Trans Asia's diligently adheres to the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Bangladesh government. We, at Trans Asia, take pride in contributing to our nation's overseas assignment dynamism.
Objective of the Recruitment Policy The primary objective of the Recruitment Policy is to ensure that the most suitable candidates are selected through excellent recruiting and decision-making processes that align with the Employer’s needs. The procedures must comply with the norms and laws of both the recruiting countries and Bangladesh’s migration policy. The Policy and Guidelines are designed to ensure that migrant worker selection and hiring adhere to specified standards while upholding the Human Rights Policy, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the United Nations Global Compact's 10 Universal Principles. In addition to compliance with these standards, rigorous screening and hiring of migrant workers are imperative to prevent human rights abuses and to provide the best candidates to the business.
The Recruitment Agreement holds every employee, worker, and representative of the hosting organization who participates in the employment process accountable. This policy also extends to every migrant worker who expresses interest.
The purpose of the policy is to identify and select exceptional candidates who will fulfill the requirements of the employing organization while precisely adhering to all standards and regulations of the host country, the sending country (Bangladesh), and other international laws governing migrant workers.
