You [CANDIDATE NAME] will provide a wide range of personal care and support to a variety of people such as the elderly or disabled person, or people suffering from chronic or mental health issues. Your responsibilities include aiding with personal care, medication administration, and companionship making your client feel safe and comfortable. You will work in the homes of the clients or in special care facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care, which includes bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
Interacting actively with clients providing affection, emotional support and encouragement
Helping them with taking prescribed medicines
Performing light household tasks that clients are unable to accomplish on their own
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
Escorting the client to medical appointments and other appointments
Having sound knowledge of health and safety issues
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or relevant degree
Proven experience as a caregiver of minimum 2 years
Completion of caregiver apprenticeship
Excellent knowledge of emergency support and first aid (CPR)
Good time management skill
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skill
Ability to behave with respect and compassion
