Job Overview:
As a steel fixer at Trans Asia Integrated Services Ltd, you will play a crucial role in reinforcing concrete structures by accurately forming and installing steel bars or mesh. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the concrete's strength and durability, adhering to project specifications and engineer designs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and placement of steel bars or mesh.
Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel components according to project requirements.
Hoist and position steel reinforcement into place within the concrete forms.
Fasten steel bars and mesh to concrete bases using various methods such as welding, wire-tying, or clips.
Verify alignment and placement of steel reinforcement, making adjustments as necessary.
Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure seamless workflow and project progress.
Adhere strictly to safety regulations and guidelines, using personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a steel fixer in construction projects.
Proficient understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of steel reinforcement techniques, tools, and equipment.
Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
