Job Overview

As a mason at Trans Asia, you [CANDIDATE NAME] should possess strong management skills and expertise in cutting, dressing, and laying stones or bricks. Proficiency in both modern power tools and traditional hand tools is essential. Your role will involve texturizing and polishing stone blocks, installing dressed stone, mixing cement and mortar, and restoring ancient and damaged masonry works. The job may involve restricted movement, working in varying conditions, and lifting or carrying heavy items.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Layering building elements such as bricks, concrete, tiles, and other construction materials.

• Fabricating, altering, repairing, and maintaining walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink countertops, partitions, manholes, and other similar structures or surfaces.

• Reading and following technical drawings.

• Operating heavy equipment to perform construction tasks safely.

• Coordinating with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the project's construction.

• Mixing cement and mortar.

• Restoring old and worn masonry.

• Making assessments, reports, and noting necessary materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or relevant degree.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a mason.

• Knowledge in tile, brick, and cement setting.

• Ability to work under pressure with less supervision.

• Knowledge and skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
