Key Responsibilities

  • Tying and securing steel reinforcement rods and mesh according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assisting steel fixers in preparing work areas and setting up reinforcement layouts.
  • Using hand tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and tying tools to perform tying operations efficiently.
  • Ensuring proper spacing and alignment of steel rods and mesh during installation.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a rod binder or in a similar role within the construction industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Completion of relevant safety training courses, such as "Work Safely at Heights," is advantageous.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.

Training & Alignment Program

Practical training in steel bending schedules, grid layouts, and work safety standards.
